Joel joined Erpelding, Voigt & Co., L.L.P. in October 2023 as a member of the IT staff in the Algona office. He has a specialization in programming and automation and is working alongside the IT team to maintain the IT Infrastructure for the firm and their external IT clients.

Joel grew up in Algona, graduated from Algona High School in 2012 and studied Architecture and Industrial design for 4 years at Iowa State University. He then moved to Denver for 7 years where he eventually fell into a role managing all the IT for a company there where he was also a salesman and project manager. Afterwards he was fully remote IT technical engineer traveling full-time which he left to come back home.

Joel currently lives in Algona and is renovating his dad’s woodshop from back when he was a carpenter and will be living there. Some of his favorite past-times are painting, pottery, programming, reading, and teaching cooking classes.
